Practice
Solo and group practices that bill insurance and supervise other clinicians.
$29per clinician / month
Everything in Solo, plus the insurance and oversight machinery a billing practice actually needs.
30 days free. No credit card. Cancel anytime.
Everything in Solo, plus:
- Electronic claims (837P) at $0.40 each, with real-time eligibility checks
- ERA/EOB auto-posting and denial worklists
- Supervisor co-signature workflows for associates and interns
- Practice-wide compliance dashboard and audit exports
- Roles, permissions, and per-clinician caseload views
- Shared scheduling across locations and providers
- Group and family session documentation
Insurance claims on the Practice plan are $0.40 each, from the first claim. ERA posting and eligibility checks are included in that price, not billed separately.
E-prescribing — including EPCS for controlled substances, over the Surescripts network — is the one paid add-on. It is billed per prescriber per month on top of either plan, and only to the clinicians who prescribe; therapists on the same account are never charged for it. How e-prescribing works.
Every AI feature is included
Notes, treatment plans, summaries, and compliance checks are part of the price. There is no AI add-on, because charging separately for the thing that saves you the time never made sense to us.
No onboarding or setup fees
Not at signup, not at scale, not when you add a clinician mid-month. We move your existing charts over for you and we do not bill you for it.
Per-clinician, cancel anytime
Add or remove clinicians as your practice changes and your bill follows on the next cycle. No annual contract, no termination fee, no seat minimums.
Your data stays yours
Export complete charts, notes, and your full client list in standard formats whenever you want — including on your way out the door.
01The arithmetic
What a solo clinician actually pays, all in.
Base subscription plus the AI note assistant plus the telehealth upgrade — the real monthly bill, not the headline price. Published list prices as of August 2026.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| TherapyNotes | $69 | +$40 | +$15 premium | $124 |

02Pricing questions
What it costs, and what happens if it doesn't work out.
Is $20 per month really the whole price?
Yes, for the Solo plan: $20 per clinician per month covers the complete EHR and every AI feature, including unlimited AI-drafted progress notes and treatment plans. The Practice plan is $29 per clinician per month and adds insurance claims at $0.40 each, with ERA auto-posting and eligibility checks included, plus supervisor co-signature workflows. There is no setup fee, no onboarding fee, and no AI add-on.
See what's in each plan →How is Congruent cheaper than the established mental health EHRs?
Two reasons. First, we built the AI into the product instead of bolting it on, so we don't run a second business selling it back to you at $35 to $40 a month. Second, we sell to clinicians directly rather than funding an enterprise sales team. A solo clinician on SimplePractice or TherapyNotes typically pays $84 to $124 a month once the AI note add-on and telehealth upgrade are included, based on published list prices as of August 2026. On Congruent that clinician pays $20.
Compare the real monthly totals →Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. You get 30 days with the full product — every feature, real client data if you want, no feature gates — and we don't ask for a card until you decide to keep it. If you don't subscribe, your account simply stops and you can export everything you put in.
What happens to my notes if I cancel?
You export them. Charts, signed notes, treatment plans, and your client list all come out in standard, readable formats, and we don't charge a fee or make you file a request to get them. Your clinical record belongs to you and your clients, not to us.
Do you charge extra for telehealth?
No. HIPAA-eligible video is included on both plans at no additional cost, which also means the session audio can flow straight into your note draft if you turn that on. Some EHRs charge $15 per clinician per month for equivalent video quality.
How telehealth works →Are there fees for claims or card processing?
On the Practice plan, each insurance claim is $0.40, from the first one, and that price includes ERA posting and eligibility checks. Card processing is billed at standard interchange-plus rates with no markup from us.
Do you offer e-prescribing?
Yes, as a paid add-on for the clinicians who prescribe. It covers controlled substances (EPCS) as well as non-controlled medications and sends prescriptions to the client's pharmacy over the Surescripts network. It is billed per prescriber per month on top of the Solo or Practice plan. Therapists, counsellors, and social workers on the same account are never charged for it, so a group with six clinicians and one psychiatric nurse practitioner pays for one.
How e-prescribing works →Can I switch between Solo and Practice plans?
Any time, in both directions, and the change takes effect on your next billing cycle. Practices often start on Solo while they're cash-pay and move to Practice when they credential with their first insurance panel.
Do you charge for support, training, or migration?
No. Migrating your charts from your current EHR, importing your client list, training your team, and getting help from a human are all included in the subscription price. We think charging a practice thousands of dollars to start using software is a bad way to begin a relationship.
